The Afghan Chamber is a non-profit organization. It is meant to promote Afghan and International trade & industries both at home & abroad. The Afghan Chamber will defend the interests of Afghan traders before the domestic authorities and in their relations with specialized foreign organizations. The primary mission is to attract, develop, retain and support Afghan and international businesses in Afghanistan and around the world. The Afghan Chamber will sustain and influence critical initiatives in the community such as small business, economic and workforce development as well as to create a collective voice on business policy issues. The main emphasis of the Chamber will be to build relationships and create effective programs that assist businesses in expanding their reach in various marketplaces.

The Chamber is in full agreement with the United Nations’ assessment that Afghanistan will not reach its full potential until Afghan women are given this right to exercise and develop their full potential. This chamber recognizes the need for designing a mechanism to utilize women as a major asset. Women will be involved throughout the project cycle; need assessment, planning, and implementation.
